Maybe it's a sort of public service position; the city of Ponyville pays her to make sure the animals stay in line.

I always sort of figured her relationship with the animals was symbiotic - she helps them out, so they bring her food and stuff, and maybe take care of her house while she's busy. Or maybe Angel organizes an underground network of small animals that sneaks money away from the town, bit by bit - just enough that neither the townsfolk, nor Fluttershy, will ever notice.

Pinkie works at Sugarcube Corner, yeah. I think Word of Faust was that she gets paid at least partially in baked goods.

She also probably does promotion for the place and helps bring in business with her parties.

I've heard her called Seafoam, I think.

I think that's Sparkler. She looks very similar to Seafoam, but Seafoam has the dolphins cutie mark.

What Sparkler and Seafoam share in common beyond similar colors is they both have hardly any fanon beyond nicknames. Seafoam shares the infamous "Muffins" line with Colgate and Derpy, but no one's really jumped on that. One of them was captain of the animal team in "Winter Wrap Up", though I forget which.

I've actually come to realize there are actually a lot of background ponies that hardly have any fanon beyond nicknames or even canon names like Sunny Daze and Mr. Breezy. I don't I've ever read a fanfic or seen a lot of fanart with Twinkle, the pony that invites Twilight to Moondancer's party, for example.

This might be a good thing, though. We have enough Ensemble Darkhorses as is! *shudders at the thought of Season 2 introducing new background ponies*

I had planned to use Seafoam in a fic later (fanfic thread, etc etc), though I doubt that'll give her any degree of fame...especially considering how little attention anything I write but Feedback gets.

I've been at college since Friday morning and just got back. I am not going to read the last 15+ pages of posts, so can someone give me a quick summary of what I've missed?

I have no idea if this was mentioned, but FIM aired over in the land of mario and pasta (Italy) and in that dub they made a completely different theme song.
