I remember a friend I had in high school that did tarot readings. I don't put much stock in them (and this being a science high school, I'm not sure anyone did), but it was a fun distraction.

No, there are various patterns you lay the cards down into. The order you draw them determines where they go, and each position has a different bearing on the fortune. Like, one could symbolize your goal, another could be the obstacles ahead, etc. I admit I don't know much about how to actually use them.

Madoka, I have no idea what that is. Except that it is an Anime. Magical Girls are possibly involved.

Tarot Cards? All I know about them comes from Yugioh.

I've seen some pictures of them playing Duel Monsters. Pinkie vs Rarity IIRC. Rarity had the Cyber Dragon and Pinkie had Elemental Hero Stratos. I think.

I prefer Magic: The Gathering to Yu Gi Oh, honestly. I just prefer the more exploitable mechanics and The Stack.

Probably the reason why Magic isn't more popular is because of the sheer complexity of all the thousands of spells and the rule interaction madness.
