This show is pretty much just reminiscent of everything that was ever good about animation. That kind of makes it age-nonspecific.

Do it. Really. The first two episodes aren't entirely indicative of the show; the rest of it is more Slice of Life.

You know, I'm not sure why everyone talks about the non-indicative pilot like it's one of the selling points of the show. I don't think the Slice of Life style of the rest of the series is necessarily more interesting than the action in the first two episodes. It doesn't really matter all that much.

I'm not saying it's a selling point, I just want to make sure they're aware of the fact so they don't dismiss the series if they don't like the pilot.

Well, it isn't exactly uncommon for people to prefer the later episodes to the pilot.

I wasn't a huge fan of the second half of the pilot, but that was because I thought the obstacles were too quickly set up and overcome since it needed to be an eigen plot.

I've never really liked Eigen Plots myself, unless there's a really good reason for it - like Secret Test of Character. Otherwise, it just strains my suspension of disbelief in just the wrong ways.

One of the people who uploads episodes to youtube. They keep getting pulled because assholes pretend to be Hasbro and flag the videos.

The thing is Youtube doesn't want to bother checking on these things. They're lazy. It's quicker and easier to delete videos and ban people than to make sure the flaggers are legit.
