The problem is that for some reason, Ginger is incapable of skipping episodes no matter how much people tell him to.

Look, you should just start watching with season 2. You won't be missing much since half of season 1 is filler anyway.

It's not THAT bad, but his first appearance is mostly to fuel Zuko's character development and set up a larger arc for the series.

He's much, much cooler when he comes back around.
