Well, I DO have it my way... I've written well over a dozen stories, though I've only finished one completely. I always try to change it up, keep it different from my last attempt.

I just think there should be more factors involved in the battle than natural aptitude and time spent training. And while I agree that The Gift is almost always really annoying, stuff like Time to Unlock More True Potential or Heroic Resolve bugs me more because it lets people become more powerful based on sheer force of will. Sometimes one person is better than another for whatever reason, and no amount of drive will close that gap.

@JT Heroic Resolve is always my fav though, although I think it should only come into play when both sides are equal, and it's come down to who wants it more
