Only figth I can image caused by this apples fight over what other girls desreve this apple because nopony from Mane Cast would claim that they are most fairest pony and fight for it.

To bad Discord is male, if he was female he could be pony Eris (or even specific Eris from Grim Adventures).

Really? Why are you so apprehensive about a prominent male pony?

I honestly wouldn't care if Discord were a he, a she or some weird genderless cosmic horror thing, just so long as he ends up being a well written character.

Considering he's not being introduced for the purpose of creating a love interest or some shallow reason like that, I'm actually glad we're finally going to get a prominent male character beyond Spike, even if he is a villain. For that matter, it might even be better that he's a villain, since those characters are so frequently highly memorable and entertaining.

Not that I'm opposed to all the mane characters being females, but it'll be a nice change of pace to have another major male thrown into the mix.

Main problem is that he is bad guy. Espacialy if fact that he is first prominent male is heavy pointed by fans.

Not that is some serious concern.

I have a pony version of Johan in my head when I think of this Discord guy, and that can only be a good thing.

Actually, that´s a horrible thing (for the characters at least), but really interesting for us (the viewers)

I for one don't trust that "leak" from 4chan.

If Discord is a pony, it does mean it will more easily lead to shipping. It will happen, you know it. Twilight and Trixie barely interacted with each other directly, and look how popular that pairing is.

I'm just saying, we should be ready to add the guy's name to Draco in Leather Pants.
