why are there so few Coraline/MLP crossovers?

I'd pay good money to see The Other Mother ponified.

Coraline is one of my favorite children's books and movies. Needless to say, I've a taste for the morbid.

One thing I will say about Coraline. The Other Mother was an awesome villain. and the other Father always weirded me out. Did he have a mind of his own or was he an extention of the Other Mother

Actually, who would be Coraline in a ponified version? Apple Bloom? Or Sweetie Belle? Then that would make Other Mother look like either Applejack or Rarity

The Other Father and all other inhabitants of the house were extensions of the Other Mother's will, but she gave them their own consciousness to make them more convincing. Of course this makes what she did to thing when her game with Coraline progressed even more horrifying. Of course to call the thing the Other Mother is drastically simplifying what it was since everything in that dimension was an extension of itself.

Scoots for best Coraline. Although we haven't had much evidence Scoots is particularly clever the way Coraline was.

Or Scootaloo. I mean, we never see her family and just like Coraline, she's kind of a tomboy. (At the very least, I did not get a girly impression from her)

Yeah, I guess Rainbow Dash would be. And just like RL mother, Rainbow would eventually grow closer to Scootaloo as Scootaloo realizes that Other Rainbow Dash is creepy as hell.
