didn't say she had no perception, just that she didn't have a physical body just walking around the Lunar surface, she could very well have still been conscious and thinking. But I don't think she was able to see what was going on in Equestria so she couldn't really plan for much without knowing what to expect after 1000 Years.

She knows Celestia, probably wouldn't change that much or could predict how she'd change since they were close.

The prophecy was kind of inaccurate. Didn't even say Celestia was the princess of the sun.

My own personal theory is that Celestia and Luna are the Sun and the Moon, and the ones you see on the show are really their physical Avatars, admittedly exceptional good ones. Celestia basically prevented Luna from manifesting on Equestria.
