I wonder if Rainbow Dash was able to call Fluttershy's bluff because she knew the other already had the Pony Pox before, and it's like chicken pox where you only get it once.
I figured it was just because she was really bad at faking it.

That reminds me of Leto II. At one point he talks about how a day is like a couple minutes to him, so he somtimes spends an enitre day on idle thoughts that other people think of for a couple minutes.

@Bad it wasn't there in Family Appreciation Day I believe... the animators just forgot
@Mousa Oh I'm sure... I just don't think their perception of time moves ultra fast, otherwise Celestia and Luna would be hyper and talking REALLY fast all the time

Nope, there was night time in Family Appreciation day, AJ looks at the moon at one point in Cutie Mark Chronicles and I believe you can see it during everyone elses but Fluttershy's and Rainbow's flashback.

It was a pony narrating a flashback, they simply didn't mention seeing the NMM shadow on the moon so it wasn't shown 
Or the shadow only showed up at certain times of the year, maybe Equestria's moon isn't tidally locked the way ours is.

@Mousa Sorry, I don't buy it... if their perception of time flowed to the point where a thousand years was like a monnth to them, then ponies would be moving/talking INCREDIBLY slowly from their perspective...

@ Seraph/Story: Fine Nightmare Moon was trapped in the moon and had no perception of anything. Making it more impressive what she did with no plan.
I still prefer her being on the moon.
