So what would an EP politician need to have?

@ Keg: You're thinking about covering healing duty too? Cool! You can never have enough healing. Especially if the group is as large as I think it'll be.

Charisma, Wisdom, if I were to metagame, I'd give him/her a decent constitution score, but that wouldn't necessarily fit.

Gully Foyle is my name,
and Terra is my nation.
Deep space is my dwelling place,
and death's my destination.
@Ginger High Charisma, with good wisdom and intelligence for awareness and planning. Lots of social skills.
So, I'm guessing high STR and CON, with above-average WIS?
Also, working name "Boulder" unless I come up with something else. Maybe he was raised on a rock farm or something.
Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to befriend everyone you meet.
Would we be able to copy some of the skills wholesale from D&D?
Or are we making EVERYTHING ourselves?
metagame?

Skills here don't work like skills from D&D. If anything, they function more like feats.
Actually, I think they
are feats, functionally.

If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
@Ginger: Metagaming is basically exploiting player knowledge of what one can expect from the game or knows out of character to give the player's character an edge.

For example, if you happen to know that most first level campaigns involve acid monsters, you could create a character who had a childhood fear of acid and has been developing a natural acid resistance ever since.

Oh, look, the dawn is breaking. Good morning, Equestria.

@Ginger: In this case it's basically using knowledge that you as a player have, but your character wouldn't.
At the rate we're going, it looks like we'll only have one actual fighter.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
Well, I can't do this, you're all far too smart for me to follow what's going on...

I thought that was me, actually. Unless being a meatshield doesn't count.
^ Have you played any tabletop RPG before? First times can be a doozy.

@Ginger You ask a lot of important questions. We need outside perspective on things, so keep pointing things out or asking about stuff.
