I've only played RPG Video Games at this point...
I've made simple dice programs in TI-Basic out of sheer boredom before. It's easy, just prompt for sides, prompt for number of dice, plug variables into randInt(. Voila! I even added a bit more randomness to the reseeding, using getKey and the RNG to generate a seed based on the keycode of the button you pressed to restart.

You know, I've been wondering, how come Ponyville is the city with the largest proportion of females to males? I mean, both Canterlot and Cloudsdale had quite a few male background ponies...
The Element of Procrastination
For die rolls in some D&D games I used to play, I remember using
Invisible Castle
. You can have it roll however many sides you need, and have it roll multiple times in one go. Or roll a combination of different kinds of dice if needed (say, one for attack and the other for damage, assuming it hits).
But the real reason Invisible Castle is good for rolling is that you can post the results and prove you're not just fudging the numbers.

Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to befriend everyone you meet.
Moar males have been showing up, but I dunno.
"As you trot along the country side, you come across a well-groomed garden. In the middle, on a small hill, you see... a gazebo.
Roll initiative."
I examine the garden. Are there any daffodils?
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
Yeah... the population has slowly been evening itself out as the show goes on. We're close to an even split now, at least.
I have a dice command in Pidgin that I rarely use, but is nice to have. of course, it just sends it to chat as a /me, so is easy to fudge

So give me the short version. How does it play? Describe it.
Yeah, they do seem to be kind of evening the gender balance out. Although it's kind of striking watching an episode in Ponyville and comparing it to Canterlot...

You think that's weird, try going back and watching the first few episodes. You could probably count the stallions on one hand... if you even needed that many.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
Curious, about how long would this take to initially set up?
Okay, I'm going to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow. Goodnight.
