I think Faust mentioned that she figured Big Mac would still be very quiet and passive around his family(comes from having three very dominant females around, I guess), and he would just sort of roll with it. She apparently wrote up an episode plan where he basically lost his shit with them after they got too demanding, or something. Basically he just wandered off alone..

Anyways, the point is, Faust's dubious Word Of God status puts him as still pretty quiet around his family. But you're still probably right in that he's much more comfortable with them. I do like the idea of him being shy.

The ladies do see to like him. Though it may be because he's so shy and gentle, rather than the whole sex god thing. He may well put them at ease.

Apple Bloom herself called Big Mac shy, so I'd say he's pretty much always that way.

I remember my dad once said that whenever a show is slated to have, for example, 30 mins air time, half of it will be ads.

That's a fair bit of how it works in NA, yeah. Half-hour show has 22 minutes of content, if that.

I've seen some European stuff that goes longer, but I don't think ever for a full 30 minutes. Though at the same time, apparently some North American prime time shows go for a solid hour, no breaks.

Sort of funny, considering how popular Big Mac/Luna can be.

And I personally enjoy the Santa Maria. It was very important after all.

And yeah, that's kind of my interpretation of Big Mac as well. He's really shy but all the girls want him. Although Cheerilee apparently didn't. Hmmm...

Though those shows that go a full hour a few and far between.
