Deep space is my dwelling place,

Got the two crows confused there for a second.
The Emperor can only body hop into a body capable of hosting the Royal Flame (his kids)
Spike is the only one left...
and no... if anything he's more impressive in Spike's body

That's actually pretty clever Ginger, it certainly explains where Spike comes from and why he's different from other dragons we've seen. Cheers! Though I have to ask why Spike's the last of his children. Were the rest of them killed?

@Blue All his kids and realm are dying/dead from a sapient plague that required the elements and his Royal Flame to initially contain...

Is there a reason he's using these bodyjump shenanigans instead of straight up asking Twilight or Celestia for help?
So, Ginger, when the Dragon Emperor bodyhops, does he merely subsume the host's personality, or does he eradicate it?

Because years ago Celestia and Emporer Allspice had a gargantuan falling out... and to make it so they didnt' have to deal with each other anymore, they erected a massive barrier between their countries called the Veil of Intent. Any soul attempting to cross it that bares hostile intentions towards the land beyond is forced back, while those who are wholy neutral/benevolant pass just fine.
Allspice's primary motive is Fear of death and paranoia, he's 100% sure that Celestia is trying to assassinate him (especially after he finds out that she has Spike)

@Drenius normally, he destroys the body's original soul when he takes it, but in Spike's case Twi interrupted the process, so both souls are in the same body. I avoided
Fighting From The Inside cuz I didn't think it'd make much sense for Spike to have a stronger soul than Allspice, not when one has thousands of years of experience (plus an insane desire to live) over him.

@Ginger: Christ. I know the guy's a monster but eradicating his children's souls, thats cold. Though if his greatest fear is of death, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I like this guy.

@Drenius Yeah, that's what caused his falling out with Celestia was the first time Allspice did that... he'd just lived for so long that he couldn't bare imagining it coming to an end
Even my villains can't live up to my standards. ![[lol] [lol]](https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lol2v12_4863.png)
He blames the plague killing his kingdom on Celestia finding some way to circumvent the Veil to kill him, when it was
actually released from a mountain by him when he was trying to find a way to circumvent the veil himself to find out if Celestia was plotting to kill him XD

@Blue Ah but these are but ideas, Blue. ANYONE can have a decent idea or two. It's quite another beast to put those ideas to print in a compelling way.
