Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but am I the only one who doesn't really see the appeal of these Drawception things?

Ponies: somebody posted these pictures last night and I thought they were amazing, but some people thought they were too Uncanny Valley for comfort. What do you guys think?

I'm not huge on drawception, actually. but they can be occasionally amusing.

There are plenty of pictures of Star Swirl, meaning that I could use those for sockpuppeting, but those that have her in her hat either make her a unicorn or Star Swirl the Bearded himself, neither of which is appropriate.

...Unless I say that they asked me to take off my hat for the picture...that might work...

Nah, he doesn't change appearance... I considered it, but the image of Spike as is kicking the shit of Celestia is just too good to pass up

I was thinking of Celestia asking Spike a question that would instantly reveal that he was Posessed (is there a trope for that) I can't think of one though

@Ginger: Well if he's got a sort of Evil Cannot Comprehend Good thing going on, she could just ask him to explain how he feels about Twilight. It would be pretty amusing for him to try to explain it if he honestly didn't understand love.

I agree with Blue, it be interesting if his idea of love was so twisted, that he couldn't answer Celestia adequately when it came to how Spike felt about Twi or any of his other friends.

I need to develop Shining Promise/my folklorist pony a bit more now that I think about it. I initially conceived of him as a being a bit like Kolchak crossed with Morse, but haven't really thought about him beyond that.

Do you think Chiara Zanni could be Twist's VA? Someone on the Celebronies character page came to the conclusion that she's Daring Do's VA based on voice demos on her official web page; if you listen to her animation voice over demoreel, a couple of voices sound a lot like Twist, and back when Jayson Thiessen was asked who Daring Do's VA is, he replied I'm wondering if "Same with Twist" means that Twist and Daring Do have the same VA.

But the way I had it in my mind... let me set the scene.

Twi is in a cage, unconscious, in the middle of Allspice's throne room. Spike is lying there too when Celestia comes crashing in through the ceiling in a blaze of light. Celestia sees the corpse of the dragon emperor and asks Spike what happened. Spike explains then goes over to try and release Twi. Tia then asks him something offhand and Spike casually answers it... that casual answer leads to Tia brandishing one of her wings bathed in fire directly at his head.

That's the sort of thing I'm trying to find, an offhand question that could reveal that he isn't who he claims to be

@ Blue, the close up looked a bit uncanny to me, really really good, but uncanny, but the other one looked fine.

@ Ginger WOW I am liking this, and really wish we could get it written, some troperbronies get on it, lets get some collaboration going cause this is sounding awesome. And right there with you one the "lots of ideas, no ability to implement them" bus Ging. But so far it all sounds great.

ask him something that Spike WOULDN'T know the answer to. but something that would be so innocuous to the emperor he wouldn't think twice before answering.

Because the toys introduced Star Swirl long before the show mentioned Star Swirl the Bearded, and this created confusion and/or speculation.

@Bluespade: Whatshisgame explained already (Those must be new though! Glad that version of Star Swirl has a tumblr now. I like her). Anyway, Star Swirl the Hundred and Forty Seventh is my fanon version of the toy Star Swirl and as she's female, she doesn't have a beard.
