I'm sorry for this. It's just that I saw the word "Cartman" on this page, and...

Cartman riding Fluttershy around South Park and Equestria.

EDIT: Apparently, the last page. Woo page topper!

Stupidest way for the apocalypse to happen:
  • They invent an HIV vaccine.
  • It doesn't work.
  • They only give one needle to each doctor.

That's what's so refreshing about this series. Well, part of it. As cheesy as it seems, there's a part of everyone that likes that sort of interaction.

I still find the series too idealistic. >.> but I can't stop enjoying it.

Why should a show that advocates the meaning of friendship be purely for children or (sic) women?! Every adult should be reminded on these morals again and again.

[up]I agree I simply love it's idealism. This along phineas and ferb are very charming.

I have enjoyed more with 3 minutes of pinkie pie than I ever had for any "edgy show".

[up]lol yeah I simply loved when she said that to Rarity.

It may sound cheesy But I do believe love and freindship are the answer to everything tongue

Any other idealistic works like this? I'd love for there to be more, but surely there are already some others!

I know I wouldn't have wanted that as a child. I'd probably have found it just as ugly as I do now

Kill it with fire. or sunlight. Or sunlight then set fire to whats left.

Oh, these idealistic shows are made mostly for children. It's rare that an adult or more mature show aimed at teens or multiple demographics are like this.

[up][up][up]I know! I was all like, "OOOOOH PINKIE PIE!"

Did I ever tell you that I was responsible for Davenport's name?

In the meantime, all you, be friendly to each other, and don't be haters!

Where DO all these Fan Nicknames come from, anyways? Was there like a committee on 4chan and later Ponychan in the early days that decided on names when new background ponies showed up?

"We shall name the happy green that thinks she's people... Medley? No. Harpie? Nah..Oh! Lyra! And that girlfriend of hers kinda looks like Bon Bon from My Little Pony Tales! Yes, Lyra & Bon Bon, our One True Pairing.

So...what do we call this brown one? The one with an hourglass cutie mark? Chrono Trigger? Wait a minute...that hair! Could it be? Its the Doctor! Doctor Whoof! Sole Survior of Gallopfrey! Get to the fan fics, people!"

^Actually, that probably is the case. Chat channels and things like that.

Still, I'm very impressed by how much fan material is a common touchstone. Almost everyone's heard of Progress or Dangerous Business, for instance.

I've definitely heard of Progress. Just not Dangerous Business. Does this make me a bad Brony? :(

[up][up][up][up]I thought Davenport was a perfect name for him; it's a type of sofa, it's a sophisticated sounding name and it beats the shit out of "the Quills and Sofas guy"

^^It's an epic (no, literally, I'd class it as an epic, as in the genre) adventure fic that brings AJ, Rarity and Dash out of Equestria and through the lands to the west. Jetfire, the author, owes Tolkien a drink or two for the nature of those lands, but it's very well-written and has some simply electrifying worldbuilding and character interaction. Highly recommended, if you have a lot of time to kill - it's 19 chapters long.

Wish I could write that well, but I'm having trouble with just one-offs, never mind multi-parts.

By the way, if you want to read something beautiful, look here.

It also has its own trope page

Also, there is a translated official German comic titled "No Way Too Far". It involves Applejack & Twilight traveling to a land beyond the Everfree Forest where there are no Unicorns or Pegasi to find something to cure their sick friends. Sound familiar?
