@Badwolfwho: Not a myth that I can recall associated with dragons, I can't think of any amniotes (reptiles, mammals and birds) where that is normal and I doubt that that would come up in the show.

@ Sereg: I think that some lizards do it. Not certain though. It might explain the lack of female dragons and I don't expect it to come up in the show.

There is art of female Spike around. Maybe even some where Spike turned into a female rather than alternate universe, but not in that context I think.

So, Gene Therapy, two questions. Can Ponies do it (presumably some sort of Unicorn spell)? And if they can could they induce a faux Alicorn (characteristics of each race but not as powerful as Celestia/Luna?

Oh well, my mistake. Still dragons are magic and stuff. Could happen.
