My mom can't stop chuckling at the fact that I'm watching My Little Pony. She knows nothing about the show except the title and finds it hilarious. I don't really have any friends in real life, so don't have to worry about their reactions.

Honestly though: Friendship is Magic is probably the worst name for a show that I've ever heard if adult males are supposed to take enjoying it seriously (or at least trying to pitch it to other would-be fans)

It's about as bad as Princess Tutu (one of my favourite animes)

Look at it this way: if a cartoon you watch in your spare time lessens you in the sight of your parents despite everything else you are and have accomplished, they're the ones in the wrong, not you. =)

I honestly have no idea how my friends would react. They might mock me mercilessly, and they might already be bronies. I have no idea. The two possibilities are equally likely.

@Ginger: That's almost as bad as My Bride Is A Mermaid, which is one of my favorite animes. Of course, the fact that the cover has a badass looking yakuza guy on it helps, but still...

That's basically the way I react to stuff like that. I'm secure enough in my identity that I'm not going to sweat watching a cartoon. It's not like I have an unhealthy obsession with the show or something.
