HA! Beat that.

Musicals? I'm not big into them, but since I was in like 4th grade I've thought that Les Misérables was awesome. I remember being on a road trip with my parents where I made them listen to that like fifteen times in a row.

I guess I like musicals, I mean one of my favorite films of all time is Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory.

Hmm, between that and the singing I'm starting to see why one of my co-workers thought I was gay....

I think Willy Wonka is mainstream enough to not count.

Willy Wonka always struck me as more of a "Movie that happens to have some songs in it" rather than a straight musical. Kinda like how a lot of Disney movies aren't technically musicals even though they have songs.

The original Willy Wonka or the creepy new one? Was that a musical?

I when customers ask my answer is always "Not the creepy one" and they understand immediately. Funny that.

[up]The first movie was somewhat creepy...

And it was written by Roald Dahl...

The original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book was pretty messed up too.

Roald Dahl could get really bizarre at times.

When I was a kid I didn't realise how Anvilicious Dahl's stories were.

Also, I now imagine Henry Sugar as an adult Blank-Flank Earth Pony who discovers yoga and gets his Cutie Mark after giving up his intention to abuse his mystical new power to rob casinos blind for personal greed.

What's up with Featherwit?

Looks like he's made of toothpicks.

He anorexic or something?

[up]Duh.

Also, I'm looking for that GIF of Celestia opening the box that contains the Elements of Harmony while displaying the amount of fucks she gives. Does anyone have it?

OK, I just have a random image of RD preening her feathers, and I wondered if Pegasi actually do that? It would be cute if it appeared in the show. (has it? I can't remember any time it has but my memory isn't that good...)

[up] This one?

Hmm, what does everybody think of the new royal wedding clip? Luna still hasn't shown up, and I'm wondering how the CMC got the job of flower girls. Nice to see Fluttershy reprising her role as bird choir director. And the outfits are awesome.

I imagine pegasi do, but I don't think it's ever shown up in the show. Not even when Fluttershy was at the spa with Rarity, if memory serves.
Can you think inside the chimney?

I have a sad feeling this season finale two-parter will be the worst episode to me. It all just.....—REEKS of Executive Meddling. It's like for each episode, all Hasbro said was "we want this story to be about this morale! Otherwise, the sky's the limit! Go!", whereas with this two-parter, they said, "it should be concerning Twilight's previously-unseen brother getting married to a royal princess alicorn in a wedding held at Celestia's palace with these designs and these things happening, and should mirror the British royal wedding so we can market the Hell out of it!" Not only the outrageous hype Hasbro has built toward it, but Lauren wanted this show to appeal to all ages and both genders, and with a frilly royal wedding??? The young girls may be interested, but would the boys? Disney has shown that boys probably don't want to see princess stories anymore, so why would they insert a royal wedding into a show that tries to break from the target demographic? Maybe I'm still confused as to why the British wedding a year and a half ago had that much attention anyway...

Oh look. Another wedding preview! Short, but pretty cool.

[up] You didn't see the commercial, I take it? It's shaping up to be quite the interesting event.
