@Red My irritation is at the writers, and how they write Pinkie compared to everyone else, not at the character herself.
In my eyes, Pinkie is a spoiled child who's never learned that you can't always get what you want.
I'm sorry, I'm no good at arguing, but I really want people to understand

Don't make me fire Pinky's party cannon.
So I came upon a moment of brilliance today. I can objectively prove that MLP:
Fi M is a good show (not that we already didn't know it).
First, we define what makes a "good" show: All television shows seek to entertain. The more people it entertains, or the amount of entertainment it provides, the "better" the show is.
MLP:
Fi M entertains lots of people and provides a good deal of entertainment, therefore it is a good show.
Ta-da!

Are you a bad enough dude to argue with waz? (your chances are better than you think, anyone can win if they use enough fallacies)
Remember Rarity wiping AJ's face in the same episode... who wrote that one, again? It was a mediocre episode, but it sounds like we've got a secret shipper on board the write staff. =)
Can you think inside the chimney?
OBJECTION!
You failed to quantify the amount of entertainment produced by the show, and failed to provide a threshold for calling it "good".

Ok. Ask any of the viewers how much they enjoyed the show (if you want, from 1 to 10). Add.

and it makes sense that Twi would put them together in that ep given the events of LBYS.
Rare notices all the little details while AJ keeps them both focused on the task at hand.
... not sure if that's still an innuendo.

Not really.
The X Factor entertains millions of people. Doesn't mean it's a good show. Or good for humanity in general.

@Purple: No, actually it is by my definition. So I don't like the show. So what. It still does a great job at being a good TV show.
I mean, this is what hipsterism is all about. "Hey, I liked this show when it only had 3 viewers. And it's a better show than that namby-pamby popular show over there."

You failed to provide supporting arguments, and so your conclusion has no basis.

I think a lot of the problem here is that there have only been four episodes that have focused on anything remotely resembling Pinkie's personal desires: Party of One, Griffon the Brush Off, Baby Cakes, and A Friend in Deed. Griffon the Brush Off is the odd one out because Pinkie actually fails in it. Gilda does not become a better person, and doesn't become her friend. With that in mind, I think she could use more focus episodes, not less like some people seem to want. Our sample pool is too small right now to determine such character traits as "she never learns anything" or "she always gets what she wants" (even though I just gave an example where she doesn't).
@JT: Unfortunately, they are. I know, it's a weird thought, but it checks out. Just because Justin Beiber is a bad singer doesn't mean he's a bad entertainer. See where I'm getting at here?
