My mind is going to very bad places with that post...
Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to befriend everyone you meet.
Yeah, I just kinda wanted to sit her down and explain why that wasn't going to work. Didn't quite seem to make it through to her.
Can you think inside the chimney?
I just thought she sounded so arrogant when she was like "What happened? How could someone POSSIBLY NOT consider me their best friend mere SECONDS after meeting me?"
Get over yourself Pinkie

Well, it worked hundreds of times before. She was just shocked that her friendship plan didn't work for once.

I'll do a thing. I don't know. It's a thing in progress. Respect the thing.
I don't think she ever intended any negative outcomes of her thoughts. If she was doing it intentionally though...
How could you hold it against her if it wasn't intentional?

Are you a bad enough dude to argue with waz? (your chances are better than you think, anyone can win if they use enough fallacies)
The Cranky episode was rather hard to watch for me. Couldn't the lesson of not intruding on other people's lives be implemented in another way?

Don't make me fire Pinky's party cannon.
@waz because THAT'S what rubs me the wrong way with Pinkie... according to everyone else, you're not ALLOWED to get angry at her, because there's not a single negative thought in her precious little head, is there?
I HATE
Innocent Insensitivity, it shields characters who do obnoxious things from karma
@Dalek Exactly. To me she sounded like a petulant child who's never NOT gotten what she wanted

You never acted like a dick when you were a kid? Don't say no; we all did it.

No, you're not. It's called grace. Yes, having kids is difficult, but they're kids.

I did, and I expected to be punished for it... she doesn't.

Punished by who? Isn't the important issue that she learn? And doesn't she?

Yeah, kids love being punished.
Who would punish her anyway? Can't really give an adult a smacked bottom. Unless you're one of those weirdos who's into that sort of thing.

Oh SHUT UP! You know what I mean. Karma.
Bad deeds PUNISHED by bad deeds happening to you. Punished by the writers, they do it to RD enough times.
I can't believe that not ONE of you comprehends what I'm saying

What if I don't believe in karma? Like I just said, isn't it more important that she learned what she did wrong than get punished?

Innocently Insensitive, so she's immune to karma

No, Ginger, he's trying to explain his viewpoint, and I happen to agree with him. You don't always have to be punished to learn something. If you had to choose between Pinkie getting punished and learning what she did wrong - if they were mutually exclusive - which would you pick?

Can you think inside the chimney?
And guess what? Pinkie STILL got what she wanted in the end. Spoiling a child is considered a BAD thing, right?

It bugs me that it seems like it's ok for characters like Rarity and RD to suffer for their actions and not Pinkie

I don't believe in karma. I do believe in there being consequences for everything you do, good or bad.
Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to befriend everyone you meet.
What IS karma anyway? Is it the belief that an anvil should drop on someone's head everytime they do wrong?
I'll do a thing. I don't know. It's a thing in progress. Respect the thing.
I think it has something to do with a chameleon, and the colors red, gold, and green.

I kind of agree with Ginger on this. Pinkie was being very inconsiderate of Cranky's personable bubble and belongings. Now, my memory is a bit rusty, but didn't Cranky give Pinkie a verbal smack down when she destroyed his picture book?
Don't make me fire Pinky's party cannon.

Maybe because Pinkie wouldn't learn well from punishment or it would be disproportionate to her. Other characters respond better to punishment and learn better that way perhaps.

My issues is with the writers.
Take
SSCS 6 K... RD was fucked over time and again in her quest for cider, and it's justified because RD was planning on making sure that Pinkie doesn't get any just ONCE.
Then Pinkie comes along and starts acting obnoxious towards RD and nothing happens to her
