Some prisoners would still mean much less food than the Earth Ponies would be getting. And that's assuming they would cooperate.

Wait, what terrain would the Unicorns claim?

I'm imagining all three races warring around one mountain.

Pegasi at the top. Unicorns in the middle. E Ps buried into the bottom

Now I'm picturing the Earth Ponies "grudgingly" surrendering a tribute of gems and crops, only to ninja and slip antimagic rings on the horns of the unicorns that come to collect. And then one of the collectors is a Unicorn Princess, who is now a hostage of the Earth Ponies.

Why would a princess be sent to meet Earth Ponies while at war? And do we even know if antimagic rings exist?

And then it turns out the princess they captured was the one who was pushing for peace.

E Ps could be masters of biological warfare...poisonous plants and toxins placed in enemy strongholds ready to cripple them.

Maybe EP are guerilla warfare type fighters, using the knowledge of the terrain to ensure a stalemate.

Multiple matches going on mean a ton of hyper drunk fans in the shop. And what's more, the weather's great and I'm stuck indoors.

The grandslam was on a week or so ago and I was trapped in town while the new ep of MLP was airing. All the buses were closed down because of the match

I wonder if they can manipulate mud/clay as well, it'd be funny to see them incapitate and take prisoner a bunch of Pegasus and Unicorn soldiers with a well-placed mud trap.

Maybe. My interpretation allows them to manipulate gravity. That should help in a fight.

Finally watching the episode. Yay, anxiety attacks! I'm enjoying so far. I wouldn't say it's the best yet, but it's still a pretty strong episode. I really love that we get more Dashie/'Shy moments and a bit more examination of their friendship.

Haha, yeah! Just got to Fluttertree. I was particularly thrilled Dash isn't really being unreasonable in this episode! Sure, she's still hotblooded and brash, but she genuinely wants to see 'Shy do well. I love seeing stuff like that.

Mental picture: A muddy bluff. Earth ponies have "innocently" set up a cartload of gems and a cartload of crops as tribute. A Unicorn Princess and her retinue of guards shows up personally to collect because she wants a certain gem from the collection. Trap is sprung, enraged cry from the Princess as she is swallowed up and swept into a trap by the resulting mudslide, which separates and strands the Unicorn guards and leaves them helpless while the Earth Ponies are seemingly unruffled and just dirty from the mud bath. Princess goes "eeeew mud" while her captors snicker.

On the new episode: I loved how they play out the whole Dashie/Shy dynamic :3 Also I bet the shippers are loving the shiptease :D

Not really, but I thought I'd get it out of my system.
