Well it could make sense if Canterlot unicorns typically have darker skin.

I must admit that Twilight is the one that I have the easiest time as seeing as non-white. Especialy Indian or far eastern, but I usually see them as white as that's what their voices sound like to me.

Well, mostly due to voice actresses and just pre concieved ideas, I tend to default to all of them being white, but second choice for Twi for me is usually Indian
