Honestly I WAS expecting SOMETHING to go wrong during the royal wedding. However, evil clones were no where NEAR my list.

I think it MY have to do with Twilight getting worried she and her friends wouldn't be able to get everything done on time so she made a spell to fix that problem. Goes downhill from there......

It easily could be related to the wedding. We only have about 30 seconds out of a 40 minute episode. My personal guess is that the gang is having trouble getting the preparations done, so they try to pull a Me's a Crowd with disastrous results.

Besides, the show has taken overused concepts and made them work on a couple of occasions. I thought "Sweet and Elite" was going to suck because of the Friend or Idol Decision premise, and it ended up being one of my favorite episodes.

Yeah, the "suddenly evil clones!", thing didn't do it for me either.

I just hope whatever is behind them is better.

Yeah, it certainly wouldn't be the most original plot, and I hope they do something more than that as well. It's definitely the simplest explanation though. But again, we really don't have much to go on, and the previews aren't always indicative of overall quality anyway.

Yeah, I know...there's a good chance it'll end up good, especially since Lauren was heavily involved. But it's just so...bleh. It reminds me of too many really bad sci-fi stories. And that plot summary doesn't do anything for me at all, and the fact that two people in a row guessed the exact same plot makes me wary.

The Me's a Crowd spell is working swimmingly at first until some of them discover Discord's statue. Because they are merely clones, Discord is able to subtly extend his influence on them, which spreads like a plague among all of the clones and allowing him to control them via Hive Mind.

I've always thought that execution was more important than making the plot uber-original. But in any case there's no point trying to judge the quality of the episode based solely on 30 seconds of preview. As long as it ends up being entertaining I'll probably enjoy it anyway.
