AHR, Ace: I usually do fairly simple ears, as well. I really like eyes, though, so I've pretty much practiced those to death and I think I have a pretty solid way of detailing them.

On second thought, avoid Hollywood and the steaming cesspit that is the corporate Big Money circlejerk of the Rich and the constant Strikes of the undertrodden Unions that is Modern Hollywood, Ginger. Go indie instead, and market online/overseas with options of HD streaming with no regional lockout nonsense. Fight Big Money! Oppose ACTA and future attempts to revive SOPA! Support the Indies! @Kuroi: My other style elements are derived from manga artists, so I'm also well-indoctrinated in the idea (and trope!) that eyes are the Window to the Soul. Eyes are one of the things I'm still training hard at because it's totally worth it.

@Ginger: My advice would also steer you clear of evil meddling executives Confound those fat cats and their dumbing down of scripts to serve the lowest common denominator! The last straw was finding out they wanted to Race Lift the cast of a possible Anansi Boys film, at least until Neil Gaiman said absolutely not.

The worst for me is proportions. I end up with tiny head big body most of the time.

I can do OK eyes, they arent exactly like the eyes on the ponies in the series but its my own style I guess. The ears are pretty easy.. just pointy ovals

@Ginger: Well, the exec meddling thing is a sore point with me because of a cumulation of dickeries they have commited over the decades, like, say, the time Hanna-Barbara canned SWAT Kats despite it's god-tier quality and popularity because one of the execs absolutely hated it. Or perhaps it's 4kids, which butchered anime dubjobs for some years. Or perhaps it was that thing I mentioned about the Race Lift attempt on Anansi Boys.

I just dreamed that I was in a room with a group of people... and a lion. I just happened to be the one trying to eat a Scootaloo sandwich. The lion was friendly enough, except for when I tried to move the other half of the sandwich (which was on the floor) out of his line of vision with my foot. He... noticed.

Ginger, you're only terrible if that's what you yourself feel. As long as you have a vision to hold to and a solid grasp of the technical aspects of film making, I don't think you can be to terrible. Heck, is A Better Tomorrow an especially deep film? No, it isn't but the director's flair makes it awesome!

No, they are not, snouts are a pain from any and every and all angles, I hate muzzles, I hate them, I hate them and their power to keep me from pursuing that area of drawing. I have like 3 story ideas with werewves thy I can't actually draw!

But it's easier to make mistakes and get away with them, when drawing not humans.

I mean because I don't care about art films... at all.
