The disc for the first Tactics would have to be made of ambrosia, and the game itself would have to be more addicting than any drug in existence, or something like that, before me and my 300+ logged hours on TA 2 would believe that.

Of course, I've yet to actually get my mitts on a copy of the first Tactics, but I cannot believe the hype, because I feel that there is an upward limit on how amazing a game can be, you know?

I take it you haven't been reading the thread for the last few days? Anyway, I discovered that you can use any capitalization of your name that you want as long as the letters stay the same. So I wrote a script to post with a random capitalization each time.

I only ever had Final Fantasy Tactics A2. I could never beat that final mission... (the one you get after beating all 300 standard missions)

I would deliberately pace the story such that nopony needs to worry about permadeath, like say for a whole story arc they'll be out of commission on account of being KO'd nonlethally, but they'll be back for the next leg of the story.

@yeller: Midweek slowdown :V I'm just sad the team didn't put in dragons of other cultures like the Chinese Dragons.

That's how I'd set up the game as well. Like if they get KO'd they get sent to the hospital for the rest of the chapter and are back for the next one.

It's the middle of the day, and of the week. This is probably when most posters are either in school (I'm in class now

), at work, or otherwise busy with things.

I'd still probably not want to lose them, even temporarily. I don't even like my Red Shirt Army's in Strategy games dying, even If I can get a replacement for them easily. ^_^

From what I got from the Alpha, that's part of the incentive to not let anyone die, though I think in the intro, they don't die, but instead suffer a critical wound that prevents them from battling again in that storyline...
