Just came across this. http://jacobminkoff.com/2011/07/11/omgponies111/
A nice Pony related write-up by Jacob Minkoff. Who's Jacob Minkoff? He works at Naughty Dog and is the lead designer for Uncharted 3. Definitly worth a read, especially for anyone who particularly liked "Art of the Dress."
Speaking of "celebronies" is there a list or something of influential people who we know for a fact are bronies? Cause if there isn't then there needs to be.
#13037kyunThu, 4th Aug '11 2:02:32 PM
Seth Green is a brony.

That was a very fun read with several good points.

Hm. Jay Naylor (or someone claiming to be him) has posted in a thread on ponychan.

I know he's done a bit of fanart, so I can guess he's a brony. What's this supposed thread about?
#13041PannicThu, 4th Aug '11 3:48:41 PM
Well, not about him - Busy Street did an article on us (surprise! They don't like us! And they're really dumb about it!), and apparently he was mentioned in it or something, then someone in the thread insulted him, and then he posted in it, calling people "small-minded cretins" because they called him a pedophile for drawing porn of underage characters.
The thread is now locked.

Wow, this is the first time I've ever heard of them and already I can't stomach them.
Guess that's one more site I will never, ever go to.

I don't feel like reading up on assholes. Who exactly are Busy Street? Are they like Encyclopedia Dramatica or something?

So a website dedicated to not liking things didn't like something, and a Small Name, Big Ego pissant who snorts ground-up Ayn Rand novels for inspiration got upset because somebody doesn't like him.
Mmm, just smell that internet, boys!
Right, okay, cynicism aside. We're here for bright, cheerful equines.
Not wholly on a different note, and lax as I am to bring up THE ANTAGONISTS again, what do people think it would take to Redeem Blueblood?

About ten ponies' worth of humble pie, some honest work, and a few lessons from Rarity about how to treat others, much less ladies.

How much of Blueblood's attitude do you think is Celestia's fault btw? It does seem like she was supposed to help raise him.
Not that I'm defending Blueblood, it is still ultimately his fault he's such a jerk

That's sort of why I asked - almost all the upper class in this universe is portrayed as arrogant to a greater or lesser degree. Also because, of the three baddies this season, Blueblood was really the least bad, but he gets the worst rep. Gilda and Trixie both have strong fanbases arguing for them, but I don't think I've ever seen a single picture, a single fic defending Blueblood at all - if he's ever in fan depictions, he's vilified even more.
I tend to think of him more as a Upper Class Twit - he's lived his entire life doted on hand and foot, so it doesn't realize that everything isn't about him. I have plans(I know this isn't for here, but it's pertinent to the conversation)for a fic that I hope will redeem him - but only but snapping him clean in half first. Metaphorically, of course.

I've wondered that as well. Maybe his branch of the family isn't on good terms with their immortal super-great aunt. If his line was descended from Luna there could be a grudge there.

Blueblood's nobility only because he's related to Celestia, but he's not her son and she doesn't really seem to think about him very often (I don't think she mentions him in the series). It's no more her responsibility to raise him correctly than it is the Queen of England's to ensure that the Earl of Westmorland is a well-groomed and polite young man.
Yes, Blueblood is a 'prince', implying he's Up There in terms of succession; but given that Celestia's immortal, very powerful, and has a goddess of similar power for a sister, it seems unlikely that he'll ever take the throne.
Edit, because I forgot to make a pertinent point after Googling the British peerage: I think Blueblood could be redeemed rather easily. He's not evil, he's just stupid.
