I've thought about today's episode for a while, and I must say, it is up there as one of my favorite episodes. I like it because it expanded on Spike's character a lot, it gave us an idea of dragon culture, and it opened up possibilities of other non-Equestrian cultures.

Also, there was almost certainly more than one group of dragons in the volcano. After all, where was Crackle?

Another thing; it killed two birds with one stone. I got a Spike expansion episode and an Equestrian world expansion episode all in one episode.
@gingerninja: I thought so too. To see Spike accepted as part of the group felt nice.
What would have happened if the dragons ate the chick-lets? Since they are phoenixes, wouldn't they just come back to life?
