I dunno. Ask people who like DBZ.

Or One Piece. I love One Piece. One Piece is full of strong people.

Twi has spent years studying and practicing her magic so of course she's good at it.

@AHR

I'm not, I'm saying that it would be a good things for her to learn that.

Also, are you saying that it's not o.k for her to have more then one predefined flaw?

@AHR DBZ had other characters who were on par or stronger than the heroes

when did we ever say she as perfect? we're saying that she doesn't have the flaws your trying to say she needs to learn a lesson about.

as to Always Someone Better, yeah kinda hard to do that without completely invalidating Celestia herself saying she'd never seen a unicorn with such raw power.

Twilight does not define herself by her magic, she doesn't think other ponies only like her for her magic, nothing you are saying she needs t learn about are things she does.

now can we get away from the recursive feedback loop here for a bit?

L Mage: Stop saying that I'm implying things without any evidence. It's horribly rude and terrible form in a debate.

She has multiple flaws. I listed multiple flaws. Neurotic. Following books too much. Perfectionist. Worrier.

I disagree, I think she largely does define herself by magical ability.

And having another more powerful unicorn wouldn't invalidate Celestia, it would just mean that she hadn't met the Unicorn before (Exact Words)

I like Twilight for her hilarious mental breakdowns and adorkableness. The magic power is just either a story telling or a plot device. And she's mostly just being manipulated and molded by Celestia into becoming whatever she is anyways.
What's the worst that could happen anyways?

I don't like characters being unopposed in ANYTHING they do. I think is my problem...

but again, you'll probably shut that down in one post

Ginger: See, the thing is simple. Someone being REALLY good at one thing is not what people consider a deal breaker. It doesn't make them flawless.

See, in real life, power levels only help in a fight. And surprisingly...people don't fight as much as you would think.

L Mage: So then what about all the character development she had that had NOTHING to do with her magic??

When that dragon laughed at spike for liking pony princesses... did anybody else felt it was a shout out to us doing the exact same thing?

Yes. And that namby-pamby pony princess will send them all TO THE MOOOOOOOOOON!

Next episode preview: more My Little Terraformers. Did Discord really break the world so hard the ponies have to tame it to get some semblance of order back? Apparently they're still scared of wild climates like the Everfree.

if she ever met the inquisitor, no matter how much he asked "who are you?" at no point would she ever say "the most powerful unicorn ever" or anything to that effect she just doesn't see herself that way, at all.

has she ever been used as a Deus ex Machina? no, has she ever easily beaten a problem on her own no matter who else tried? No. Is she flawless? no.

With the exception of Trixie, not on single pony gives a flying feather about "power levels" or "OP-ness" so why should we?

now can we please more on before this feedback loop gets any worse?

@ AHR

What about all the subtle ways that prove she is invested largely in her power? All the time she spends studying magic, all the effort she puts into spells, how much proportionately more she uses it then everpony else?

What about how she couldn't resist using magic during a festival that is specifically about not using magic?

Just, someone tell me (I'm calm now, really. Now I'm just sad and curious)

What is the appeal of knowing that Twi will NEVER come across another unicorn that even approaches her level of power?

I don't think anyone does at that makes them a Boring Invincible Hero. The problem is that while Twi is unopposed when it comes to magic you are ignoring the fact that when it comes to things outside of magic she can be beaten.
