The newspaper's picture of Celestia with cake uses a different cake, so my guess is that that screenshot as well as the other screenshot with newspapers are from "Ponyville Confidential", with the actual Celestia with cake screenshot is from "MMMystery on the Friendship Express" (with the newspaper picture being an ad for the contest in the next episode).

I think the coolest thing about that suspect lineup in one of the screenshots is that it appears that both the brown unicorn stallion and the griffon are bakers. Are they a team, or is one of them a rival? I'm guessing the latter, as that creates motive to ruin the cake (and also basically guarantees that said rival is not going to be responsible).

I don't think that they'd go so far as to rip off the twist ending to Murder on the Orient Express, even if the episode is a Whole Plot Reference. If anything, they'll have an even zanier twist.
