Maybe her special talent is living on an apple farm? That's what I got from her story in "Chronicles".

That's another thing I've always wondered about. We never see Applejack doing anything besides harvesting on the farm. We never see apple trees which aren't fully ripe. I suppose whatever is messing up the seasons also causes apples to grow really fast but it's still weird.

What about Bloomberg ?

That is a little weird. I mean, you'd think all the harvesting would be done during applebuck season, but then we see her harvesting in a bunch of other episodes as well. So what was the big deal about getting it all done quickly by herself?

I think Fluttershy should be wrath. Did you see her in Best Night Ever? And I don't think Rarity represents lust, she should probably get pride.

For the sake of a joke I'd place Fluttershy as Wrath, but I think the sin I'd actually, seriously ascribe to her is Sloth. She's often slow to act, and when she does act she usually does so incompletely. Failing to check with someone before doing something that they should have a say in, as in A Bird In The Hoof, is slothful, it's a way of cutting corners by excluding them in order to save the time, effort, and possibility of denial involved in talking to them. And refusing to act out of fear, as she did in Dragonshy, is also slothful.

Spike, I think, needs to be Gluttony, he always seems to be fixated on food.

Rainbow Dash is very obviously prideful, which... dammit, another sexuality pun.

There's evidence to call Pinkie greedy, particularly where it comes to her friends - she got pretty clingy in Griffon the Brushoff, and ten times worse in Party of One.

btw, where did the notion that RD is a lesbian even come from? Is it just the tomboyish attitude?

@ Death Cloud. I think in terms of telekinesis, Twilight is STRONGER, but Rarity is more PRECISE. For one I think the music through the grass was a spell not TK, and Levitating a water tower and squeezing milk from cows into it is impressive strength-wise, but compared to what Rarity is capable of, I see no contest

That and the rainbow motif, yeah. A bunch idiots people went "butch girl + rainbow = omg gay!". Fortunately most of the fandom realizes that that idea is B.S. Yeah, there's a ton of shipping, but I doubt it's for that reason.

I assume the bulk of the lesbian shipping is because for any given fandom, there WILL be shippers, and there are a lot more female characters than male characters to work with.

Doesn't seem like the greatest reason to me, but I've never really thought Girl on Girl Is Hot, and it is a reason.

Meh, the lesbian shiping doesn't really bother me. (I'm bi, so nothing squicks me out anymore) and I'm not going to agree with, or deny the people who call them homos until it's adressed in-canon (which I think has only been done with Rarity )

Yeah, I think the main reason for the lesbian shipping is simply due to the gender ratios of the cast; the primary characters will make up the bulk of the shipping, and in this case they happen to all be female. And of the recurring males, Spike is too young, so Big Macintosh pretty much got shoved into Memetic Sex God territory.

Haven't posted here in a while, mostly because its hard for me to keep up with this thread. Everytime I check, there's at least 10 new pages!

Anyways, just thought I'd let everyone know I typed up a recap for "Over A Barrel" (and someone already did some typo clean ups, thanks!) It was the last episode to not have a description longer than one sentence.

We are now ready for Season 2! I think...
