Or unstealth sequence as the case may be.

Considering it isn't even as bad s freak out as Lesson Zero, I'm still surprised you chose to quit, Mio, though I can never stand why and you were heavily biased from the start.

Ah well, c'est la vie.

Apparently Twi doesn't really fathom just how much clearance she actually has in Canterlot Castle [lol] it's like she never really knew how much power she could wield at her hooftips even from foalhood and she's practically a noble herself.

Twi's insanity peaked at the telescope scene, and even then I'd say it's subdued to the point of being funny not awkward.

@Mousa: I actually did not watch Lesson Zero for several months and after that I was already pretty thoroughly spoiled about it. I imagine that if I had watched it at the time I may have had a similar reaction.

On the other hand I quit partially because it was going exactly as I has expected, and I didn't like what I was expecting.

Oh my god, that video is hilarious. Unfortunately, I don't think it was meant to be.

[down]I wasn't around for Season 1 so I don't really know how the fandom reacted back then.

Hmm, it seems all the episodes this season have been polarizing. I don't know whether that's because of the show's quality or because more fans = more varied opinions.

Also, I don't get mad at differing opinions. I get mad at snobbery, which nobody in this thread has displayed. Well, not the current regulars, at least.

I think I was one of the few people who didn't find Lesson Zero to be the best episode ever, though I've grown to like it a bit more.

@Storyyeller: That seems to be a much more common opinion than I had previously thought. I mean, 4 or 5 of us just agreed we didn't like it.

I think it's also because you were a part of the fandom when the episodes aired so you notice the reactions mroe.

I think it's a probably a combination of both. The show definitely hasn't gotten worse, but I think the elements that are emphasized are more likely to draw strong reactions. The first season episodes were more subdued and safe; there aren't as many people with strong dislike, but a lot of them don't have the flash that triggers that sort of BEST EPISODE EVER reaction. I think the writers and animators are taking way more risks this season. It mostly pays off, but when it doesn't, it's more noticeable. It basically comes down to personal preference more than anything else anyway. There are more Love It or Hate It elements this time around. Lesson Zero is a good example; most people either consider it one of their favorites (like myself), and some find it a low point. There are people who are sort of meh on it, but they're in the minority. And the divide is kinda understandable; I like it because the premise clicked with me and I thought that the over-the-top ness was an interesting deviation from how the show normally works. Obviously, some people just don't care for that style of humor.

@Chadaman: That's just sad. Poor Luna. Then again, Canon Luna would probably crash Celestia's party.

People think Lesson Zero was the best episode ever? I find that pretty mind-boggling.

Though I will admit, that's only the case because I rather disliked Lesson Zero.

[up] That explains quite a bit.

[up][up]It's one of my personal favorites, but I wouldn't say it's the best episode. Just one that personally appealed to me a lot. But yeah, when it first came out the reaction was overwhelmingly positive from what I remember. It might just be because there weren't as many people on the thread, but I didn't hear any substantive complaining about it until weeks after it aired.

[up][up][up][up]I think that is indeed the case.

[up][up][up]Lesson Zero was and remains one of the most popular episodes of the show.

[up][up]We've been here the whole time. Right under your nose. . .
