...I'm almost afraid to ask what a randomly generated post in my style would look like. Almost. But not quite!

Pagetopper? Gimme a second.

I love this PMV.

I'm actually interested in a randomly generated post of myself as well.

Actually how did storyeller do it?

@yeller: Markov chain it based on some arbitrary rule or the pattern of a poster? I don't know how that would work that doesn't require categorizing every word in your database. No, I don't have any idea what I'm talking about. What is your current algorithm like?

...Actually you can probably have it at least start with proper subject - I, troper name, etc.

@Superior I was reminded of the Pokemon Spreadsheet a while ago and we added natures a while ago, so I'm going to ask. What do you think yours is?

(And so resumes the nagging for additional information...)

I've talked to Light Phaser on Skype and a randomly generated post of his would actually sound like something he would say. That isn't an insult. His rants are pretty adorable if I do say so myself.

[up] Umm... jolly, I guess. That's what I'm normally like when not under the effects of boredom or depression.

Also in today's episode of Hilarious in Hindsight, Tabitha St. Germain plays a ditzy, blonde, walking disaster girl. She's also the voice of Derpy Hooves.
O_O In live action! I was expecting Minty or something. But that's her Wysteria voice.

Lesson Zero is one of the more polarizing episodes of the series. It admitedly features a rather deranged concept (one of the more sane ponies becoming outright Slasher Smile insane over some trivial task deadline) but according to at least half the fanbase (which includes myself I must admit) it was handled in a hilarious manner. Others think it's awkward and too dark for the show.

I have a feeling The Mysterious Mare Do Well would probably be one of the first to appear in a DMOS page for similar reasons, half like it, half hate it's guts.

A randomly generated post from my ex would have the word "however" over 9000 times.

Also, I used to feel bad for saying this, but now I've established that it's completely true, so no remorse here. My ex is a CM. Now think of what that could stand for, and yes there is more than one possibility. I just thought of six that could apply to him.

The closest thing to proper text parsing I know how to do is using basic regular expressions, but grammatically aware parsing like you need is completely out of my league. You may be able to find a few code snippets out there, though. It might actually be pretty cool to reverse engineer a text generator from a text adventure parser.

Not me, I just thought it wasn't very funny.

@Psi001: It seems like such a long time since you could call Twilight "one of the more sane ponies". Doesn't help that the latest episode has pretty much buried that notion completely.

Would we even need such a page when we already have So Okay It's Average?

Twi is still more rational than most ponies, just that she approaches madness from the far end of the sanity scale where you sort your everything and I mean everything.

[up][up]It's a comparitive case really (placed alongside a egotistical Hero Wannabe, a extreme Shrinking Violet, a narcissistic Large Ham, and...Pinkie Pie, only the stubborn as hell cowgirl may surpass her in common sense sometimes), not to mention a huge case of Depending on the Writer. She is still perfectly stable in some later season two episodes for example.

[up]So we DO have that page?surprised

I could post the source code if you want.

Lesson Zero is still one of my favorite episodes. tongue And I think her freakout in the most recent one was at least partially justified as a. she's horribly sleep deprived and b. a message like that from your future self is a legitimate cause for concern.

Rewatch s1e1, laugh like a hyena when Twi complains that "all the ponies in this town are crazy!" [lol]

Yeah, it was bad enough when her only breakdown was the mild one in Winter Wrap Up.

@J Teeth: To be honest she actually is more justified in freaking out at this point then she was in Lesson Zero. But I think this is one point where the episodes predictablity really works against it.

[up][up][up]So we can now officially say she has gone among mad ponies and become Queen of the Asylum?

Terrific.

[down]Well I'm glad you did, cause I didn't.

Eh, I didn't mind the predictability all that much. I found it fun to watch nonetheless.

I think most of the fun was trying to guess how she'd get her injuries. And the cool Metal Gear Solid references.

[up]Same. My basic attitude while watching it was "I know how it's going to end, but I'm curious to see how it gets to that point". Stuff like her whole stealth sequence made the episode worth watching, IMO.
