If you're Markoving these pseudorandom lines, of course they'd look coherent since they're being generated with some rules filtering the results.

But yeah, when it first came out the reaction was overwhelmingly positive from what I remember. It might just be because there weren't as many people on the thread, but I didn't hear any substantive complaining about it until weeks after it aired.
The funny thing about "Lesson Zero" for me is that the very first review of it I read was also a strongly negative one, so I was already going "Yeah, he has a point there, season 2 might not turn out so well after all" before I read all the "Best episode ever!" reactions.

I thought Lesson Zero was funny as hell. That's a reason for me to like something.

Actually, most of them don't make sense for that long. I just pick the particularly good ones to post.

Hmm... favorite episodes...

Party of One, Lesson Zero...

I dunno, I guess I'd have to rewatch some.

Incidentally, I upgraded my OS to Lion. The autocorrect feature is ANNOYING.

@Pannic: Can't you switch it off? I'm sure autocorrect is optional.

Yeah. I'll definitely turn it off.

[up] My default browser is Firefox, so the autocorrect is a non-issue. tongue

No, Lion's most annoying feature is it's insistence on reopening every window when rebooting after something crashes the computer, even if one of said windows was what caused the crash in the first place. Luckily, that doesn't happen very often.

I tried adding something to make it choose real beginnings of posts, but now it often repeats a word near the start, and I can't figure out why.

Edit: Here's an interesting one. I think it broke.

The first thing I did when I got my new computer and got re-connected to the interwebs, was to download Firefox. Internet Explorer is junk, IMO.

By the way, I figured out why it would repeat a word near the start. I was appending a word to two different lists which happened to be the same list.

Internet Explorer, the world's most popular browser downloader! tongue

Seriously though, I'd rather use the olden KDE 3.x-era Konqueror (KDE's native browser) over IE, and that's saying something given how craptastic-by-modern-web-standards that version of Konqueror is. The modern version of Konqueror's a lot better, however. I use either Firefox or Chrome (Chromium if on Linux), though I'll probably go back to Firefox full-time once it gains the ability to import Chrome bookmarks/history/stuff.

I wouldn't be surprised if that were the reason for all the 3s in the first place. Incidentally, it is managing to generate some that are almost completely sensible.
