@storyyeller Okay, about how long would it take to get the code in place?

I won't know until I write it.

Then there are a lot of other questions. Should it try to include punctuation and capitalization? Should it be based on the thread as a whole or a specific user's posts?

Real Life is rife with stories of a programmer being fired for whatever reason; only for his ex-boss to realize nobody knows how to maintain the server.

Which is why you should make it your goal to be the only one that knows how to run the server until you retire.

@Storyyeller: That actually sounds really interesting. I'm kinda tempted to say you should run the same thing on the usernames and make a sockpuppet that's supposed to represent the entire thread. It would be weird.

@storyyeller Idea: If you do specific users, send the posts to us as P Ms so the user it's supposed to be for could post it... specifying that it's theirs.

◦More humorous example, in an attempt to cut government costs, California decided to fire a large chunk of government workers, then redo the pay rates for everyone left. Well phase one went off fine, but come phase two they realized that every single person that knew enough about the payroll software to implement the changes was fired in phase one.

The one that's freaking me out the most though is the one about applying evolution to computer hardware and getting seemingly physically impossible circuits.

I think I heard about that one before. It does make sense though if you consider that unconnected gates could influence other gates through parasitic capacitance and the like.

Applying evolution to nano-based equipment might be a bad idea though. Keep them fingers on the killswitch.
