I'm curious to find out if it was a theoretical spell Starswirl had written without casting it since it was one-use only. It sure sound like a spell that exploits a loophole in the nature of time.

It only works for someone whose life has already been impacted by their own act of time travel.

Either that or he only realized that it was one-use-only when he tried to do it again and it didn't work.

If my future self shows up with a message, I will shut the heck up and let him talk so that I don't do something stupid. Like not let him tell me the actual message and then freak out over it.
