One has to wonder how much the current creative team will respect Lauren's mythos however. Retcons, intentional or not, are very VERY common after all.

That's not what I was implying. But I thought that theory was interesting.

The team has always taken a "well establish it when we get to it", approach to canon, even when Ms. Faust was with them. So I think they will go with whatever they think is best for that episode at that time.

@ginger osias came up with a WMG that an alicorn was formed when an earth pony, a unicorn, and a pegasus willingly merge. This would be the eventual fate of the Mane 6. It also explains how 2 ponies wield the 6 Elements of Harmony.

I added by saying that Celestia was made up of Clover the Clever, Smart Cookie, and Private Pansy, while Luna was made of Princess Platinum, Chancellor Puddinghead, and Commander Hurricane. Osias said that he thought that the Pegasi incorporated into each princess was swapped, but yeah.

I also joked that Cadence was really the merging of the CMC...Which was followed by comments of "Mind Blown"
