She probably has full clearance to pretty much anything she wants, but just never had a reason to go to that wing before so didn't know (in her sleep deprived state) that it included that, since she figured Time manipulation would be under the uber super protection.

I think other guards ignored her and rest on purpose.

Mane Cast, even if not part of royality it's can be count as closest friends of Princess and anything odd behavior is thing what should not be commented.

yeah, they all know she has the full confidence of the Princesses so just let her do what she wants. Though I'm guessing they did tell Celestia what Twi was up to and that's why she came down, just to see for herself what she was doing.

I always tell myself that the FIM universe primary runs on rule of funny when things get confusing.

Well, Starswirl invented TIME TRAVEL spells by the looks of things, yet Twi only told Spike of his pioneering efforts in Amniomorphic (spelt wrong I'm sure) spells, and how he was mentioned in an OBSCURE book of unicorn history.

She didn't WANT anyone to recognise Starswirl from his most famous works, she wanted them to recognize the obscure stuff

Twi prolly didn't know Starswirl was working on time travel until she got some of the truly out-of-the-way works by him, lol. She prolly wants him to get recognition for spells that everypony uses but don't give him credit for creating/refining/perfecting.

@Ace But she can only use it once... If any of the Mane Cast could use it, it would have to be Rarity. Unless if there was more than one Time Travel spell, but then we'd get a lot of compliaining...

Almost a day late, but the only thing I actually disliked about It's About Time was Now-Present!Twilight's attitude about not being able to successfully deliver her "Don't Worry, Be Happy" message to Past!Twilight. She was basically, "Aw, screw her. I'm happy!" Um, Future!Twi? It's all your fault Twilight panics in the first place. Trollestia has taught you well.

All in all, I'd say this was M.A. Larson's best effort to date. Pinkie wasn't as annoyingly over-the-top as Larson usually writes her, IMO.

True dat. Twi hasn't become enough of a spellcaster to start making her own unique spells yet, anyway. I reckon she's a few decades too young for that anyway.
