My theory is that the server stores everything internally in California time, and the displayed dates just add a set amount of hours without adjusting for daylight savings time.

Oh well, I guess I can go back to read the last few months of Cracked articles that I missed by reading this instead. It's been nice retroactively knowing you all. I think I can live without knowing what the next 70000+ posts were like.
