Also, last year something was said about Twilight having a solo song. I'm placing my bets on it being in "Dragon Quest" or one of the last two episodes.
She's a star gazer, she probably had them all in storage. Alternatively she borrowed them from the town's other astro-hobbyists.
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.
When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.
Bluh. I did not like this episode at all.
Because the journey was just painful. I knew what would happen, and so it was basically watching Twilight being completely doomed for failure from the start, with almost nothing that was actually unexpected, interesting, or funny.
@AHR: So how come you didn't like Putting Your Hoof Down? You never mentioned earlier.
Just saw the ep. Yeah, that was actually pretty damn good.
My only problem would be Twilight's demeanour when she travelled to the past in the end. She sounded pretty light-hearted in the moments leading up to her casting the spell, but as soon as she's in the past she becomes deathly serious.
I just don't think the attitudes matched. If that makes any sense?

I love how Twi sent AJ and Rare to clear the perimeter of the Everfree Forest

They also helped with the dam. Guess they're bros now.
Did anyone else think the disaster Twilight was going to warn past!Twilight about was going to be Spike's Stomach ache?
