The point of Pinkie's song in episode 2 was to not be afraid of imagined fears, like the dark or monsters under the bed or whatnot. You can't exactly laugh away your fears if the object of your fear is real.

Pinkie Pie does whatever her songs tell her.

Unfortunately, her grandmother never made up a song about playing with Zebras.

Don't forget to factor in the fact that after the first day or two, Applejack was running in sleep-dep mode. She may have gotten more hours in per day/week/whatever, but at a cost of reduced work output per hour spent. In which direction this skews the final result, we can't really tell.

"Imagined fear" pretty much describes Zecora. Pinkie was afraid of her without even learning if there was something to fear. She just freaked out because the others were; the complete opposite of what she was like in episode two.

I think that partof what makes them believable to us is that they don't follow their personalities like a religion.

We have seen pinkie scared and angry, We have seen AJ lying, Dash being scared, Fluttershy being assertive etc.

I don't think that makes then nessesarily character derailment, quite the contrary.

I think what they mean is that the ghosties song was about stuff in your head or irrational fears with no basis in reality whatsoever; you treat it as absurd and it goes away. Zecora, however, actually exists. It's true that they have a totally wrong image of her, but she isn't a figment of anyone's imagination. And as was noted, it's implied that there have been rumors about Zecora going on for a while; even though she might not have actually done anything to merit fear, it's entirely possible that there were rumors of stuff she did going around. Pinkie, like everyone else, assumed that Zecora had potions and hexes and stuff. It's wrong, obviously, but it actually had some sort of basis outside of her head.

How did AJ lie to Rarity? (haven't seen the ep in a while)

I always wondered how long the orchard usually takes to buck, because i got the impression that AJ wanted to finish at around the same time her and BM usually do.

Did they ever explain why Zecorah always dug at the ground with her hooves whenever she walked into town? It always bugged me how that was never adressed, even with one line.

Now now, Applejack could have thought it was gorgeous.

No accounting for taste.

And Hydras (Feeling pinkie Keen) and ursa minors (in Boast Busters she was in the background) yeah it could be.
