I'm not sure what the exact definition of accounting is, but I don't think much in the way of complex math would be needed to run the orchard. The family seems to trade only with people around ponyville via the stores AJ runs.

Salary's would be a 50/50 thing I'm sure (BM and AJ are the only ones who work) so no micro-managing of employees would be necessary either.

Depends on the cultivation methods, there can be a lot of math used in farming, what with supplying water, fertilizer, pesticides and the like.

And of course, as we all know, Big Mac is building a rocket to the moon using distilled fermented Apple Juice as fuel.

As awesome as that is, it's implied that Big Mac can buck twice as many trees as his already Badass sister can in about half her time without getting all that tired.

Would you say your catchphrase is amazing Big Mac?

Mainly because Applejack thought that she'd bucked the entire orchard, when she'd only done about half of it. She seemed to be acting like this was the time when the harvesting should be finished. Also, unless Big Mac goes insane every year, I don't think he gets as tired as she did in the ep

But wouldn't he normally have Applejack to help him? Granted, if Applejack had only finished half the applebucking by the end of the episode, then I would assume he normally does a bit over half or Applejack would be going crazy every year trying to finish her half of the orchard, but twice as much as her? Probably not.

But seriously, I think you could argue that Pinkie Pie's main quality isn't fearlessness, but that she doesn't take anything very seriously until it's strongly ingrained into her mind. So she had time to be convinced of "That stripey girl is an evil enchantress", but not of "You should run from scary-looking trees."

AJ has been the one that has betrayed her element the most however...She plainly and shamelessly lied to rarity in Boast busters for example.

Applejack working hard enough to exhaust herself got say 50% of the orchard, whereas Applejack and Bigmac working together would finish it but with both of them working at a steady pace.

We don't actually know how much of the orchard she harvested though. They show us a bunch of harvested trees, then a bunch of unharvested ones, but it isn't like they come out and say she got halfway through it. She could be 2/3 or 3/4 of the way through for all we know.

It's true we don't have a precise number, but I don't think we can assume she was closer to completion, that was certainly not the impression I got from the scene.

We don't even know how much harder Applejack was working than normal, but I would say it was quite exceptional.

So yes, there's a margin of error, but I wouldn't say it'd change much in AJ's favor.
