I am worried this episode will be horribly predictable. I hope it's not.

It typically best not to let fans of a work come to run it. A lesson the American comic industry never learned.

Also just saw the latest synopsis and, really? That is how we are going to go into the finale? With an inevitably over the top mystery parody staring Pinkie? Yeah, not looking forward to it.

@AHR: Most of the episodes are predictable. Doesn't stop them from being good.

@Mio: You don't like detective stories? Also, I notice that this makes two seasons in a row where we had a Pinkie focus for the penultimate episode (counting the 2 parter as one).

@AHR: Me too, but we always get spoiled by plenty of prior knowledge so that can't really happen. Anyway, today's episode seems rather less predictable to me, unless it turns into a carbon copy of Lesson Zero.

@bluespade: It sounds like it is going to use its inherent ridiculousness of its premise for entertainment (considering it is Pinkie), something that I feel that I will not enjoy.

Both. The writers tend to defy some of my predictions, and the ones they fulfil are achieved in interesting ways I never expected.

I'm back for the episode. And to read 40 pages I guess.

Well, I'm gonna go get some food and finally watch Putting Your Hoof Down. Although now I've been thoroughly spoiled on it, so idk how much I'll enjoy it.

I very look forward to the mystery episode. a train mystery and ponies? buck yea.

The "predictability" thing really doesn't bother me much as long as it's fun to watch. I mean, it's targeted at kids after all, and if they they don't find it predictable then the show has accomplished what it set out to. If the episode goes with a Stable Time Loop, the target audience will probably find it a really cool twist, because unlike us they aren't Genre Savvy due to hanging around on a website dedicated to cataloging every plot ever. I think pretty much the entire fanbase needs to remember that we aren't the primary audience; of course the show isn't going to try to surprise us. It might do so on occasion, but I doubt the writers write the episodes with the intent of appealing to the adult fanbase outside of a few shout outs and whatnot.
