Twilight's "Why won't anybody be rational and reasonable!?" stood out to me, but I suppose it's justified in that she was (presumably) including the buffalo as well as the ponies.

I know I posted this in the other MLP thread, but I'm quite proud of it.

Could you tell me how to put something like that together? I had the idea to use the audio from this video in a pony AMV.

I had to essentially rip videos off of YouTube, convert them to editable files (they're in .flv format) so they could be used in Sony Vegas. The soundtrack I used was custom made. I just got very lucky in finding the exact tempo to use.

I used the keepvid.com website for ripping YouTube videos and VLC converter (which can be downloaded for free).

I started a thread with the following text as the OP on Ponychan. I'll put it here as well.

So, after Twilight's arrival, her five new friends seem to have gotten rather close, but they've presumably lived in the town for several years before that. It sure would be strange if they hadn't made friends with anypony before that. She also meets them all separately, so it'd be kind of a big coincidence if they were all in the same group of friends. Contrast with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, who seem to have befriended before meeting Apple Bloom.

Griffon the Brush-Off seems to suggest that Rainbow Dash didn't really know Pinkie Pie until the series started. Rarity and Applejack seemed to have a need to work out some differences in Look Before You Sleep that I'm betting should have been resolved if they were already friends for a significant period of time. I'm guessing Fluttershy and Rarity at least had been friends for some time before the series considering their interests and how they behave together; there's that little make-over tradition they have going. You guys have any more evidence from the episodes you can share that can point us either way?

I have some other thoughts to contribute, but I really need to get going to bed soon.

Well, Pinkie Pie said she at least knew everybody, even if she wasn't friends with them, so there's that. I'm not so sure that Rarity and Fluttershy would have been friends before hand though, so much as that they took off as close friends when they met through Twilight. That said, however, for how shy Fluttershy was at the beginning, it's unlikely she would have gone with Twilight without first knowing one of the others...or, maybe Twilight was the first pony to really take an interest in her, so she latched on.

@Kyler, there seems to be electric lighting in Twilights library - it's never shown directly, but there's an audible click in Winter Wrap Up when the library is illuminated.

Oh yeah, forgot about Pinkie knowing everyone. I have doubts that that implies her having more than many shallow acquaintances, though.

They all seem pretty active in the community, though.

Today is the first time I've watched My Little Pony on an actual TV.

On electricity: I may be wrong on this because I haven't seen that episode and I forget if the CMC's plugged in their fan or what. But so far, what we've seen is that ponies who have a mark that has to do with their career are also blessed with some sort of magic or knowledge having to do with that mark. For example, Rarity's magic is only constrained to bolts of cloth, decorations or accessories, as far as it seems. If she is "prettifying" something, she can use her magic—her cutie mark probably works along the lines of "I learned that not only did I want to be beautiful, I wanted to help others also become so!" So long as she is doing that she may use her magic.

The point to all of this is that Mr. Breezy probably has some sort of knowledge or magic pertaining specifically to fans. I dunno why, maybe he grew up in Equestria's version of a desert. So, there. No electricity, just more pony magic.
