I Think it actually sounds pretty good. Either that, or Celestia came up with it on her own in the interim - she pretty clearly knew that Luna was going to come back, and it seems unlike Celestia to think that she wouldn't have some sort of plan after 1000 years.

If that's true, Celestia must have started that right after Luna was banashed, because the Summer Sun Celebration celebrates the solstice, nd has been going on for 1000 years.

@Kegisak: Not so much fandom-to-web as web-of-fandom. In most other fandoms I would, to use the same fanworks as an example, expect a lot of people to have picked up the desktop ponies and a lot of people to have read "Progress", but not for the groups to overlap all that much. Basically, there are strong connections between the branches of the fandom, I mean, whereas in older fandoms you've got AMV snobs, fic snobs... and don't get me started on ship divisions.

I have nothing against villains with redeeming or sympathetic qualities, I just prefer Complete Monsters. and I don't think it would be against the tone of the show. the only reason Nightmare Moon wasn't a Complete Monster was because she didn't do evil things just for shits and giggles, there's a difference between evil and PURE evil. and one of Lauren Faust's earlier works, "the Power Puff Girls" had at least one pure evil badie. the guy who made clone PP Gs and tried to kill the real ones.
