@CDRW I got that ad a while ago, too...

@Bad If we're going on about which style of decks the Mane 6 would have, I'll add one. Fluttershy would have one centering around beasts or go for a Stall deck, not wanting to fight directly.

@ Crowlover: I've actually made at least one deck for each of the mane cast. For Fluttershy I focussed on beasts with the Green/Yellow Baboons as the main cards. For Pinkie I went with Arcana Force since they're random and they have the lore of foreseeing the future.

One of my favourites was the magician lockdown deck I made for Trixie. Since she makes herself look good by preventing others from looking good I thought it fit. Magicians Valkyria to stop attacks, Secret Village of the Spellcasters to stop spells and Royal Decree/Sorcerer of Dark magic for traps.

Ooh, trading cards?

The best game of Magic: The Gathering I've ever played was my counterspell deck vs my friend's counterspell deck. It was the longest match I've ever played, and in the end I lost because, while my counterspells were better, my friend had enough creatures that he could spam them until one got through, and I didn't have enough good blue creatures in my deck to put up a defense once they got out. It's also the only game I've played where knowledge of the stack rules was nessecary.

Ohh, I love Magic counter wars. I'd get into them with friends back in the day. Good times. Still I was better at running swarm decks or Damage redirection/mitigation.

I haven't played in a long time (I've even lost my cards somehow!) but my most successful deck ever was a "make them discard/spam and sacrifice weenies to destroy their biggies" deck. I'm still bummed that I never had the cards to put together a sliver deck.
