About this poster baloon: I already like those guys. I wonder if they are bad guys or good guys.

The white one look for me like little dragon not ponny.

They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

Anyway, I would think they would be. Pegasi actually stand on the clouds, they don't hover or use their wings in any way to stay up there; my idea is that they have a sort of innate magic that allows them to touch and shape clouds, as well as make things they touch weigh less and/or float (see Fluttershy's frog cart and Derpy's moving truck).

I think what people are wondering is whether pegasus magic "emanates" from their wings specifically, the way unicorns have that glowy goo come out of their horns.

So on that awesome poster from a few pages back, someone found a higher res of the balloon occupants. Calling it now as Gummy's father.

Er, I believe that second image was just someone's mock-up of what they thought the blurry shapes resembled. I saw some comments that supposedly the poster's artist had confirmed that they were supposed to be ponies, but personally I'm going to imagine they're a large toad and a chipmunk.

@Jack: If you really wanted a challenge, you could use She's Got Issues

by The Offspring. You'd have to be really creative to find stuff to match the lyrics, though.

I would like to think that the guys in the balloon are another student at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns and his own dragon companion. The problem with that the "dragon" looks far too much like a crocodile and that the pony's hat is unlikely to be hiding his horn.

Still... I'd like to see that.

How many other people here are content to just watch the show and look at fan works based on it, and not need any of the official merchandise? It's not just me, is it?

I don't really need the merch, but I'd like to support the show. The closest to doing exactly that would be to get the DVD set when it comes out. Other merch will be decided on a case by case basis. I do own a Twilight Sparkle brushable for that Winter Wrap Up customization I did, though.

I don't really like the look of the toys. If they made a Braeburn or Doctor Whooves toy I'd consider, but as it is, well... no.

Also, asked a friend to get me a poster. Hopefully, the fact that I offered him a comp ticket for Dr. Horrible helps.

I'd completely buy some ponies, if only because I have the sudden urge to customize them into ponified versions of other characters, but no matter how good the show is I'm still not convinced that actually owning them without being a little girl wouldn't be completely humiliating. Other than that, I don't go in for merch.

No clue yet. All they've said is that they're working on it. Pure speculation here, but given Hasbro's somewhat slow reaction to bronydom and their originally having no plans for a DVD set, I wouldn't be surprised if it took them until Christmas to get it out.

Dvds do usually take a while to appear unless they're tied to a major movie distributor, in which case it only takes a few months. I imagine the demand is definitely there!

If you look closely at the poster, the artist's interpretation doesn't match up at all. For example, the crocodiles eyes are farther apart and different sizes.

Apparently, the original poster was supposed to have a pony with aviator goggles.
