@Ginger: The good villains that are competent like you want them to be are rare.

I probably would have recommended you more stuff, but that is the main reason I haven't. I was this close to recommending FFXII, since it has the kind of villains you like, but you did mention Final Fantasy already so nevermind.

Legend of Zelda as a whole is pretty overrated.

I mean they're all good games (well... up until Majora's Mask anyway. After that the series got stale) but they seem to always eclipse better, more unique games. Everyone was so busy with ALTTP that they never played Landstalker, and Crusader of Centy was actually panned for "being just like Zelda" (which is the dumbest criticism ever, considering A. why is that bad? and B. it actually wasn't that similar except superficially). Ocarina was good but again, totally outdone by competitors like Mega Man Legends.

So now we're having a Season 1 vs Season 2 war? Ummm... that should probably wait until the season ends, doncha think? For all we know, the "boring" episodes could just be a recent spate and maybe they'll clear up.

the Crusaders have gotten 8 episodes. More than any individual character has.

I enjoy them, but that's kind of overkill.

EDIT: If there's a large-scale old vs new war I'm out. I'll still watch the show, but that kind of stuff, in any fandom, pisses me off.

I think Mega Man Legends is one of the most overrated games ever, and I'm a huge Mega Man fan! Seriously, I think it's just downright boring as hell, and although Capcom's decision to cancel the 3rd game was utterly stupid, I wasn't effected by it personally. I was hyped, yes, but they could've went in any direction, really, of course I was hyped.

@superior, I agree, the CMC really need their own series or something. I love them but 8 episodes is a lot. It's like they're using scripts from their unused series when they have nothing else that week.

Goodnight guys. And yeah, I should point out that I'm definitely enjoying season 2. The "ensemble" vs. "individual" episodes thing is largely a personal preference thing.

I still think that they need to focus more on the mane cast, though.

EDIT: And really, we aren't really arguing or having a war. This maybe qualifies as heated discussion of the merits of the seasons.

The pony fandom is so nice that it doesn't take much to seem like drama.

That's what's nice about this thread. We can (usually) discuss things without getting all angry-like.

I dunno if ALL the fandom is nice, but I like that in here, it's civil.
