hey everypony,

Derpy needs your help. Not Derpygeddon related, it's a project Bald Dumbo Rat is working on.

@Shota This show is a cartoon with a primary demographic that fall squarely in the Animation Age Ghetto, it will never win any prestigious awards.

As for overrated games, I don't let hype or hate decide things for me, so I have a hard time finding things overrated. I have played almost all of the modern Legend of Zelda games, and most of the older ones, and they are all very good. Are any of them the best game of all time to me? Not a chance. That honor goes to Half-Life 2 (+its episodes).

[down] That would be the aforementioned Derpygeddon.

Wish I could get some recommendations for...stuff...to do.

A Song of Ice and Fire, House of Leaves, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Code Geass, Homestuck, Dark Souls, Persona3 and Persona4, and Kiwi Blitz. Now get back to me once you've done all those grin

And it seems we were talking about how the show is going downhill? I don't see it, I think Season 2 has improved in a lot of ways so far. I've enjoyed it more than Season 1 overall, Season 1 had at least 5 or 6 episodes I really didn't enjoy at all, Season 2 only had 1.

Pfft, everyone knows the greatest game ever of all time and space and magical beanstalks is Mega Man 3! It's just -sniff- so inspirational! ;_;

the Crusaders have gotten 8 episodes. More than any individual character has.[up]

I enjoy them, but that's kind of overkill.

I don't have a problem if they're done well, but they sometimes get a little formulaic. I'd like to see more episodes involving the Mane 6 and the CMC. Here's an idea for an episode: some kind of new threat shows up that requires the cast to wield the Elements of Harmony. CMC tries to help, naturally screws things up. Or maybe one of the members could be out of town, so one of the CMC tries to fill the spot.

[up][up] I think he left, actually.

@Shota Here's a list of the cartoons nominated for Outstanding Animated Program last year:

Notice that all of these shows are adult comedies not intended at all for children. I seriously doubt anything primarily aimed at children stands a chance. Not that I'm saying that this show isn't in the same league of quality as these, it's just not something that would ever get nominated.

It was a hypothetical. Have a little imagination. Also, the Annies nominated childrens shows sometimes.

Well, at least the actual deserving one took it?

Yeah, the odds of MLP ever getting a recognized award are pretty slim. It's a nice thought, but... eh.

I'd be careful about trying this one unless you know just what you're getting into. It's great, but definitely not something I would recommend for someone randomly.

@ Light Phaser. I am a Megaman sinner. The only classic Megaman games I've beaten are 2, 8 and 9. I just couldn't care enough to get through others.

I think the number of CMC episodes might have something to do with the closer relation to the primary demographic. It's easier to connect lessons for children to children. Granted, I actually like the CMC*, so I might have some kind of bias. I'm curious as to the number for each character though. I'm sure there are charts somewhere.

@Perpetual Lurker: That seems pretty ridiculous that a cartoon apparently has to be aimed at adults to win an award. I hate award shows in general, there's too much politics involved.

I'm pretty sure Avatar won some awards though, so maybe MLP could win whatever contest it was in.

[up]Lol, yeah, pretty much what I was thinking.

Aye? Some of the Mega Man games can get really repetitive to some people, and I am not that dense of a fan to realize that.

The CMC aren't even side characters anymore in my book, so their prominence doesn't bother me at all. Hell, Sweetie Belle has gotten more character development than half the cast already, IMO.
