Then I prescribe to you a GameCube and Legend of Zelda collector's edition.

That might not do it justice. Try an SNES and a copy of A Link To The Past, instead.

@Light Phaser: Well, I remeber people talking about Pokemon moves making good pony names but that is about it.

I did noticed that Moe is lossing interest in the show. If I may be honest I can kind of, sort of see where he is coming from. In that I understand his reasons, not that I am also lossing interest.

[up][up]Are we recommending Ginger games now? I have no idea what kind of games he already plays so I won't bother.

I still need to play A Link To The Past, but I know I've played and liked the 3D games and those should be enough to convince him.

I mean I could recommend the Oracle games or Link's Awakening but I get the feeling they're only masterpieces to me.

No. You're not the only one who thinks they're masterpieces. Especially the Oracle games. Amazing surprised

I do kinda agree that on the whole, I prefer the first season. Not because the second season has worse writing or animation, but because I think it made more of an effort to do ensemble episodes. A lot of 2nd season episodes are "one or two ponies stew in their own juices" rather than having them bounce off of each other. That's not a bad thing, it's just that some of my favorite episodes are the ones where the cast members interact with each other more.

I'm with J Teeth on this one, heck ensembles are what I live for and season 2, while having absolutely fantastic episodes is severely missing out on that.

[up][up]I'd say Minecraft, but then we'd never see it again.

Also, I have to say that I've always prefered the 3D Zelda games. Wind Waker was amazingly fun.

@J Teeth: This may seem like an odd opinion, but I think lossing the E.I logo this season has kind of worked to the shows detrement. Weird opinion I know, but I really think so.

@Applelight: You ever played Civilization?

I haven't really noticed much that's changed specific to that. If I have any gripe, it's that the season 2 episodes go a bit too far in trying to be novel; pretty much all of them are introducing new characters or new settings, or some sort of major event. None of that is bad, but I would love a few "Look Before You Sleep" type Slice of Life type episodes.

@light phaser, I feel a bit biased because the oracle games were my first ever Zelda games so I always got the feeling I made them greater than they actually were.

@Mio. I almost thought them losing that logo was a temporary thing.

meh I think it works in it's favor, frees up more options which are always good, but yeah I do wish S2 had more ensemble episodes.

I think what I mean is that with their new found freedom, the writers feel back into some old stand bys and habits that they would normally do in other shows. Back in the first season they had to get a little more creative with that extra limitation. Just my opinion though.

@Applelight: Cool. Do you play any of the others?

Ahh, don't feel bad. You just don't enjoy one of the greatest video games ever designed by Nintendo for one of the greatest systems ever. No big deal [lol]

But seriously, I'm pretty sure half of you would come running at me with pitchforks if I told you the games I didn't like...

On the other hand, Season 2 has more continuity and better plots.

I'd say Minecraft, but then we'd never see it again.
I honestly don't think Minecraft is as addicting as everyone says. I got bored of it after a week or so. I'm not a very creative person though, so that might have had something to do with it. I've been thinking about giving it another shot soon, though.

I think A Ltt P is vastly overrated myself, but eh.

I think you can't generalize the ensemble and solo episodes really. It would be different from person to person. For example, I'm not a fan of Dragonshy as an ensemble episode while Last Roundup is one of my favorites. This is assuming I'm understanding what we mean by ensemble episode, though. I might have it wrong.
