Exactly! I've become a big fanfiction reader lately from all kinds of media, not just MLP. Although Equestria Daily is pretty good in letting mostly good stuff pass through. It makes my "job" easier.

EDIT: Gah! I guess I can't deny it... I'm a fangirl... Nooooooooo!!! D:

Anyway, about ponies... What are some theories about Pegasi families? I mean, we never really see Pegasi parents. Does anypony (I need to get into this habit) about how Pegasi raise their children? I'm leaning on the idea that the family dynamic is generally the same as Unicorns and Earth Ponies, although I read this dark fanfiction where Scootaloo was abandoned and was taking care of herself... It was kind of sad... :(

There was a huge boom a few weeks back, but after that it's pretty much died. Okay, granted still probably fast growth compared to yours, but...

As militsry ponies the Pegasus are probably the least nurturing and the most spartan but paradoxically would always be watchful if their youth falls the clouds.

I've been having this idea for AGES and I just want to get it off my mind now: Shipping between the Mane Six and their colt versions!

  • Male!Applejack / Rarity: Basically Rarity finding her true love, a knight in shining armor in the form of a kind and chivalrous hard cut beef cake, in the form of a humble farm hand.

  • Rainbow Dash / Dusk Shine: Classic Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl romantic relationship, with the former being more of a competitive jock then just energetic.

  • Rainbow Blitz / Fluttershy: Another classic pairing, this time a Jerk Jock becoming a nicer person and/or revealing their softer side with the help of the shy and timid loner.

  • Female!Applejack / Butterscotch: A kind and timid (to a fault) boy who ends up gravitating towards a girl who is much stronger than he is both emotionally AND physically. THIS Applejack eventually takes a shining to him and the protective instinct evolves into something more.

  • Twilight Sparkle / Bubble Berry: Red Oni, Blue Oni type Pink Boy, Blue Girl sort of relationship, Twilight being a studious no nonsense Nerd while Bubble is the rambunctious party loving guy.

  • Elusive / Pinkie Pie: Randomly thrown in as its the last one left. XD

I just realized that Celsstia's entire plane hinged on her anti-social grad student to make five unique and virtuous people.

'Night, Bindle.

Also, M: keep in mind that Celestia knew the other five girls and presumably had a good idea that they'd mesh well with Twilight.

And you believed that she couldn't pull it off? this is Celestia we're talking about. She'd probably been watching the elements since well before they were born. She sent Granny Smith to exactly the right spot to settle down, after all...

Alternatively, it was the bond of friendship that actually did it, so it was inevitable Twilight would find them.

Goodnight, Bindlestick.

And of course we care about you!grin

[up]Eh, I prefer to think of her as just being better at Xanatos Speed Chess.

As do I, on a personal level, but she still could easily have planned all this out waaaaaay in advance. She had 1000 years, after all.

My personal approach to Luna, Celeastia, and the other gods of the horseshoe continent is thus:

"The gods' favourite game is chess. Played in the dark. Over a period of 10 years."

So I had a Fanfic idea based on my idea for Equestrian Government:

In the distant future, Twilight is appointed to Celestia's small council, and the House Of Senators puts a bill forth the Celestia vetoes and the Senate puts before the Council to vote on. Twilight thinks the bill should pass but freaks out over contradicting Celestia, who must have had a good reason for vetoing. In the end she votes "yes" and the bill passes only for Celestia to reveal it was all a Secret Test of Character, because she wanted someone on her council who wouldn't be afraid to oppose her if she was ever in the wrong.

Does that make any sense?

Yeah, I think so. But if the Bill passes regardless, doesn't that mean she has plenty people to oppose her?

And not to be that guy, but there is a dedicated thread for this...

You'd think that a geek would go to the trouble of typing the correct words.
